Tartan Everywhere

We celebrated our annual Burns Supper at Birdston Day Care. In the morning, we had Burns Day themed games and a Burns Quiz before our feast.
The main floor and the dining area had been beautifully decorated by Janet and Frances, with tartan table covers, Scottish flags and Burns menus. Many of our service users and staff had dressed for the occasion wearing something with tartan in it.
The award for the most tartan goes to our piper, who piped the haggis in from the kitchen dressed in full Highland Clan attire.
We were joined by our friend Mary Young who addressed the Haggis. Mary worked at Day Care 12 years ago but has faithfully returned every year to address the Haggis. We are extremely grateful to Mary who was presented Mary with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for her time with us.
To end the supper, we tucked in to some traditional Scottish shortbread and whisky truffles.
A day that Rabbie himself would have been proud of.
