Residents enjoyed an afternoon of song and reminiscence as they attended Musical Memories, a group set up for people with dementia and their carers.
This week the theme was America. Hamburgers and pancakes were served and were thoroughly enjoyed after their sing along.
Resident Moyra commented on much she looks forward to the singing and complimented the group on how well organised they always are.
Residents from Birdston and Lillyburn have enjoy their time as part of this large community group which continues to grow. Many friendships have been formed at Musical Memories and our residents love to catch up with their new friends every second Monday.
Marie Galligan said ‘many of our trips now involve residents from both homes which has resulted residents forming new friendships and social interactions.’
