Theatre Show Brings Back Fond Memories

Lillyburn welcomed Phyliss from Shine Bright Productions and residents took their seats to see her wonderful performance of songs from the film Calamity Jane, which brought many pleasant memories of the famous actress Doris Day.
Phyliss took everyone on a musical journey with numbers including ‘Secret Love’ and ‘The Black Hills of Dakota’. She brought the show to an end with her rendition of ‘Que Sera Sera’ much to the delight of those in attendance who happily sang along.
Resident Jeff loved the show and had fun joining Phyliss for a dance on stage. Margo said “initially I did not feel like coming along today but I am so glad I did.”
Mare Galligan said “Doris Day is a firm favourite of some of our residents, and Phyliss did a great job of taking our residents on a trip down memory lane.”
