Mind That Song

Service users from Birdston Day Care attended “Mind that Song” at the Kirkintilloch Hillhead Church, organised by Alzheimer Scotland.
Musical Memory Groups use singing to bring people together in a friendly, stimulating and social environment. The groups are open to everyone in the community in a dementia friendly setting.
The attendees enjoyed a delicious high tea lunch and were entertained by a live music band. Many of our staff and service users took to the dancefloor!
It was a great day, very well organised, and enjoyed greatly by everyone in attendance. The staff of Alzheimer Scotland, and the volunteers from the Hillhead church were very welcoming and helpful throughout the day. They couldn’t do enough for us and we look forward to the next event.
