Day Care Barge Trip

Day Care residents had a fun day on the water with the Seagull Trust, sailing from Kirkintilloch Marina to Cadder and back, enjoying their tea and biscuits along the way.
The lovely weather certainly made the trip delightful along with Betty McAloon reminiscing about her childhood and telling staff and her friends that she used to swim in the canal when she was younger.
Rae Stirling lives on the side of the canal and told us how she used to watch her kids play along the side. She has seen a few sights in her day though... once a lady was putting a 3 piece suite in the canal and when Rae asked her not to her reply was “well do you want the suite?”
Everyone remarked what a super day it was filled with a good few laughs and good company.
