Kintyre Care Home is an award winning 16-bedroom specialist dementia care facility in Kirkintilloch, Glasgow, offering high levels of specialised nursing care to older people with dementia, including Alzheimer’s and stroke related dementia. Setting the standards in dementia care, only the highest levels of nursing and personal care are provided at Kintyre Care Home, as we believe each resident should live a full life, even with dementia. Our comprehensive training plan ensures that all our staff are trained to understand dementia and how best to care for each residents individual needs

The care home’s design and interior finishes have been selected to help and stimulate our residents and includes a reminiscence room, a new spa featuring a hairdressers and nail bar, in addition to attractive secure gardens that make the most of the stunning views of the Campsie Hills in East Dunbartonshire. The care home is designed to be cosy and welcoming, and with its limited number of bedrooms this home is ideal for those older people who prefer a more intimate environment.

Kintyre operates in close coordination with Lillyburn Care Home, ensuring that residents have access to the comprehensive services and support that both facilities provide. At Kintyre Care Home all bedrooms have en-suite showers and there are comfortable communal lounges, a reminiscence room and visitors facilities.

The secure garden is accessible from the lounge and some bedrooms, and the lounge's glazed patio doors captures beautiful views over the Campsie Fells.
