Musical Memory Group

We attended “Mind that Song” at the Kirkintilloch Hillhead Church, organised by Alzheimer Scotland.
Musical Memory Groups such as this use singing to bring people together in a friendly, stimulating and social environment. The groups are open to everyone in the community in a dementia friendly setting.
Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by staff and volunteers from both Alzheimer Scotland and the Kirkintilloch Hillhead church.
We indulged in a delicious high tea lunch followed by live musical entertainment. Many of our staff and service users took to the dancefloor.
It was a great day, very well organised, and enjoyed greatly by everyone in attendance. The staff of Alzheimer Scotland and the volunteers from the Hillhead church were very welcoming and helpful throughout the day.
