Putting The “Fun” Into Fundraiser
Posted by Eastwoodhill Care Home
Eastwoodhill Care Home, in Giffnock, was packed with chit–chat, fun and laughter on Saturday when they held their very first fundraiser, raising a fantastic £443 for the homes activity fund and festive events.
Residents, relatives, staff and friends all took part in the event, where everyone enjoyed tea and coffee with delicious Jam and cream scones and chocolate éclairs baked by Chef Jack in the kitchen. Chef John baked a delicious Christmas cake, which had everyone’s tummy’s rumbling as it filled the room with a delightful Christmas scent.
The event puts the ‘fun’ into fundraiser with a tombola, guess the weight of the Christmas cake and a raffle which helped raise money, along with a donation box for the teas and coffees.
Thank you to all the staff for their hard work and to Louise McLean SCW in particular for being the driving force behind the event. Staff and relatives all made such generous contributions leading up to the event and on the day itself, which is greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go towards the home’s activity fund and festive events.
