Position : Domestic / Cleaner

Location : Birdston Care Home

Hours : Full time and part time

Rate : £9.50 per hour (pay rise pending) and PVG Paid

Role

To work as part of a team to maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the Care Centre, whilst ensuring a safe, comfortable environment for our Service Users at all times.

Skills and Knowledge Required:

Team player

Good understanding of Infection Control

Good communication skills- spoken and written English essential

Satisfactory PVG Record Check

Desired:

Care Home and Care for the Elderly experience

Responsibilities - Cleaning:

Empty waste bins and wipe out.

Vacuum throughout.

Shake out cushions.

Clean dining rooms / lounges / lavatories.

Clean taps and sinks.

Clean soap dishes.

Clean toothbrush holders.

Spot clean all floorings.

Polish all mirrors.

Clean all pipe work in lavatories.

Dust handrails and radiators.

Move all mobile furniture (including beds and chairs) and vacuum and dust beneath / behind.

Wash out metal wastepaper bins.

Dust and polish furniture and windowsills.

Wash vinyl floors.
