    Dedicated Staff Hit The Headlines

    Posted by Lillyburn Care Home

Lillyburn Care Home made front page news in the Kirkintilloch Herald today as staff were praised for their commitment to ensure resident safety during the recent snowstorms.

Whilst the Beast from the East was causing chaos over Scotland, the excellent standards at Lillyburn Care Home were maintained, mainly due to the commitment from our staff and directors, Brendan and John Brawley, who were on site from 7am to 10pm each day to ensure that the care home was appropriately staffed, grounds maintained and supplies plentiful.

All staff were picked up, dropped off and some even stayed overnight (through choice) due to their distance from the care home. It was not only Lillyburn Care Home staff who were transported to and from work, but also Birdston Nursing Home staff, both Pacific Care and NHS employees as well as staff from other companies walking home from other local care homes.

Through this period of bad weather, very few relatives were able to visit so were reassured that staffing numbers were maintained and that their loved ones were safe and receiving excellent care. In such difficult conditions, Pacific Care’s teamwork has shone through and all staff went above and beyond to ensure that bad weather had no impact on Lillyburn’s residents.

A special thanks to all Pacific Care staff for their dedication during the recent snowstorms, not just at Lillyburn but also at our care homes at Mosswood, Eastwoodhills and Stanely Park, who all went that extra mile to make it to work and look after our residents so well.
