Changing the Size of Text on the Screen
To
make the text on the screen easier to read, you can enlarge its
size by following the instructions below. We give details for the
two most popular browsers used on PCs. Choose from:
Microsoft
Internet Explorer 5
-
From the Main menu at the top of the screen,
click on Tools. Scroll the mouse down the list and
click on Internet Options. This will open the Internet
Options dialogue box.

Near the bottom of the Internet Options
dialogue box, click on the button called Accessibility.
This will open the Accessibility options box.

Click in the checkbox called Ignore font
sizes specified on Web pages (the 3rd box down from the
top).

Click OK.
-
Click OK again.
-
From the Main menu at the top of the screen,
click on View. Scroll down the list to Text Size
and then move the mouse across and click on Larger
or Largest.
Netscape Navigator 4
-
From the Main menu at the top of the screen
click on Edit. Scroll the mouse down the list and click
on Preferences. This will open the Preferences
options box.

From the list on the left, under Appearances,
click on Fonts.

Now on the right, from the list called Variable
Width Font (obtained by clicking on the Down Arrow) scroll
up or down the list and click on Arial.

To the right of the Variable Width Font
box you have just changed, in the Size box scroll up
or down the list and click on 18.

In the other Size box below, again
choose 18.

Next, click on Use my default fonts, overriding
document specified fonts (the 1st option in the list).

Click OK.
