Privately owned and managed by Pacific Care in partnership with NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, Birdston Nursing Home provides the highest quality of care for the older person suffering from mental illness and Alzheimer's.

We provide 24 hour nursing care delivered by trained NHS professionals with a genuine interest in the welfare of the older mentally ill person.

Pacific Care meets all the non-nursing needs of the residents, providing a safe, calming and homely environment which enhances their capabilities, whilst supporting declining abilities.

A respite programme currently operates offering short breaks to suitable residents referred by their Consultants. The respite breaks are planned to suit the needs of the residents and relatives alike, where residents are encouraged to maintain and improve their independence with the support of an appointed key worker. During their stay, the residents can enjoy all the facilities and services of the home.

The partnership respects and promotes the residents' individual lifestyles at all times, recognising their personal circumstances as well as offering choice and participation in decisions that affect daily living and future care.
