It can often be difficult for the older person to fill each day with company and stimulating activities. Birdston Day Care Centre can help, providing the older person with a friendly environment, where company, entertainment and day outings are part of every day life.

Purpose built in 1998 to suit the needs of the older person, the Centre can accommodate up to 35 clients per day, seven days a week, including public holidays. We satisfy a range of needs from restricted mobility to mild dementia. Whether you or your loved one wishes an independent lifestyle or increased social contact, we have something to offer everyone.

Birdston Day Care Centre is one of the few centres that is registered with the Social Work Department in East Dunbartonshire. The Centre is also an approved service provider for North Lanarkshire Council.

We understand that in certain circumstances looking after a loved one can be difficult for both the older person and their carer, more so when they suffer from dementia or other illnesses. Everyone needs a break sometimes. In receiving day care services, both the older person and their carer benefit from the daily respite break.
